On Friday it was long distance race Day, although in a voting the day before most of the fleet wanted to cancel this for more races. After waiting quite a bit ashore the wind came in and the teams had to guess what strength the wind will be finally in the day - again. Most of the fleet decided to go small - a mistake for the wind died nearly and in 5 knots the fleet sailed in shifty and light winds the race that saw a surprise on the first mark, Prinz Heinrich from Bavaria sailing along the shore rounded first 2 minutes ahead of the second and also the Denish guys around Flemming coming 3 minutes late for the start as they choose big rig were in the first five places. But the wind played games with the fleet and experienced John Winning finally took the race followed by Flemming Clausen and Howard Hamlin.
on the final day the fleet were called for start at 8.30 in the morning and an interesting race again in dying wind had to be cancelled after the first and a half round. So the fleet went ashore for a waiting period as the wind came in again around 12 AM. Finally in 16 knots of good breeze the fleet, mostly on big rigs and had a real final race in perfect conditions.
Winner overall with 21 points after 13 races and 2 discards were Jamie and Steward Mears with Tristan Hutt, sailing fast and clever, followed by Howard Hamlin with Matt Mc Kinlay and Scott Babbage on 28 Points, third overall came John Winning with Grant Rollerson and Andrew Hay with 30 points, congratulations to the Podium, well done Boys.
