No Wind. Day 5 started with a haze over the hills which is never a good sign in Garda, 12 o’clock came and the decision was made to wait for the breeze, which if it came in would be here at 3. Unfortunately 3 came and only 5 kts max was blowing down the lake so the decision was made to call an impromptu lay day. This was welcomed by the fleet, 11 races in 20 kts had taken their toll. It allowed injuries to be rested, boat work to be done and rigs to be tuned, and in some cases stuck back together. At 5 the wind came in to a nice 18 kts which allowed a few teams to get on the water for a practice. SpeckStunber was the entertainment for most of the fleet that evening and after eating what seemed like an entire pig we are all ready for the long distance race on the Friday!
