Dear Friends, for the last time as Class Secretary, I wish you a wonderfull 2010 year.
When I become class secretary, I fixed myself 2 objectives. First to have a world class established in a democratic way and the second one to have a decent European circuit. I believe that today, these 2 objectives have been achieved so it is time to me to retire. I will present you soon a candidate to succes me and I will of course help him during the first year to ensure a smooth transition.
2010 will be, I hope, an excellent year for the European class. This year, a small group of sailors worked together to set up the circuit. Even if it is not 100% finished now, I would like to share already what we have :
- Mid may, ideally in Italy one or two weeks before the European Championship, we will have the first event
- From 30th May to 5th June, European Championship in Malcesine (Garda)
- From 24th to 27th July, Travemuende
- From 28th to 1st August, Sonderborg
- From 10th to 12th September, Lovere on Lake Iseo
As you could see, we decided to go back to a 5th event circuit, with a week with 2 events in North. I hope everybody will enjoy this tour, and I will post soon some more details about these events.
