Three Australian 18ft skiffs came across the Tasman for the Harken sponsored ANZAC Regatta.

The winner was 2UE ActiveAir with Kinder Caring (AUS) second overall, skippered by Brett van Munster, who is the boat-builder currently manufacturing the new 18 foot Skiffs in Australia.

The overall regatta was sponsored by Harken, who presented some awesome prizes (digital rig-tension gauges) to the overall winner of each days races, plus spot-prizes to competitors throughout the contest. Their sponsorship was much appreciated and helped make the event a great success.

The three Australian skiffs dominated the event:

- 2UE Active Air: 1st
- Kinder Caring: 2nd
- Panasonic: 3rd

Of the NZ Skiffs, finishing places were:

- CT Sailbattens: 4th
- Fineline Ropes: 5th
- Helly Hansen: 6th
- Ssang Yong: 7th
- Stunt Academy: 8th
