Check in to one of the most innovative races in eruope! The Inshore Race in Kiel gathers in ist 3rd edition from August 31st to September 2nd the most spectacular skiffs from all disciplines. 18footer, Int14s, Moths and other spezial one off skiffs. As the 18foot competitors which raced against an 80foot International Americas Cup –Yacht (GBR52) in the last years edition can witness: Hospitality and perfect service are a matter of course in kiel. The race area is located side by side to the shore-base in the middle of the heart of kiel at the so called Kiellinie. Up and down races will be held on saturday. Sunday morning is the start for a real long haul race all along the kiel fjord out to the former olympic race area and back. Long Genakerreaches and tight up-windfights will take all of the crews to get line honours in this spectacular fight. But do not only enjoy the pure race atmosphere and the tight battels für victory, but also check in for the two famous event party: the friday check-in barbecue -with free barbecue and cheap beer and cocktails for all crews and all night long - and the famous apres sail party on saturday with the innovative fun cup rule, free beer and lots of caipirinha. Give your self another handicap-factor by registering your drinks at the bar. The team with the most points and the less point on sundays race will be declared king of the fun cup. Last years efforts reached 42 beers per team, so discover your frontiers... But do not hesitate to believe that the Inshore Race Weekend is serious and hard racing.
