Looking these wonderful pictures made by Christophe http://picasaweb.google.fr/christophephotographe/TOPWEBJJDAY5?authkey=1wo2ooFo1LI#
you can see how the sails and the rig are so different from the rig we are used to see in Europe last year.
Every 18ft team sailing this world Championship have a squared or more than squared top main sail, both for the N°1 and N°2.
Somebody know who are the sail makers that create these kind of shapes? And what about the mast, I remember that CST Filament wound mast were the best few years ago, but know what kind of mast the best teams have rigged up on their 18??

We already saw last year this kind of sail in Six-Fours on Slam (not so massive fat head ... but still bigger than what we have).

They are using even Southern Spar mast or CST high modulus mast (finer, ligher and much much stiffer).

In UK Rob Greenhalgh is sailing with a Selden Mast, with non circular section ... things are (as usual) moving
