First European Grand Prix in Germany at Lake Ammersee 27th - 30th April

Dear 18 foot Skiff Sailors from all over the world, especially those from the UK

I‘m sorry, you missed it and it was so cool!

Diessen at the Ammersee in Bavaria, approximately 10.000 people living there an probably the same amount of cows, but that doesn‘t matter for now...

Normally the 18 foot skiffs were a part of the Skiffmania with 49ers, Moth, 29ers, Musto Skiffs and so forth, this time we were all alone and 14 boats at the starting line for the 1. European Grand Prix Event. All by ourselves we had a lot of fun and the facilities of the Diessner Segel-Club are just amazing and perfect to host an 18 foot skiff event - I am sorry you missed it...

Australian Season final & Club Championship, Race 10 Alice Burton Memorial Trophy

Gotta Love It 7 made a clean sweep of the 2012-2013 Season championships when she took out the final race and the Australian 18 Footers League Club Championship on Sydney Harbour today.
With regular skipper Seve Jarvin taking his place as For’ard Hand today with regular crewman Peter Harris missing from the team, World Moth champion Josh McKnight, of the UK, joined the Gotta Love It 7 crew for the race.

C-Tech again Leader of the World Ranking

C-Tech strikes back and gains Lead in the World Ranking again, at least for the next week until Gotta Love it 7 will get to the top for the first time with a clean win of the N.S.W.Championship.
A good performance in the backyard of the Australians at the JJ.Giltinan brings Alex Vallings, Josh McCormack and Pete Burling back into the Pole Position of the gliding World Ranking.

Gotta Love It 7 became the 2012-2013 NSW 18ft Skiff champion when Euan McNicol (replacing regular skipper Seve Jarvin), Scott Babbage and Peter Harris took out the last race of the championship on Sydney Harbour today.
After trailing Pure Blonde (Tom Clout, Rob Bell, Matt Wark) by two boatlengths at the first windward mark

It was a nostalgic day on Sydney Harbour today when some of the greatest names in 18ft Skiff Racing history skippered boats in the Haier Appliances Ferry Patrons Trophy race.
The legendry Iain Murray, six-times, undefeated Giltinan champion between 1977 and 1982, five times champion Trevor Barnabas and 2000 winner John Winning all skippered top contenders.
Murray was in charge of present Giltinan champion Gotta Love It 7, Barnabas on Thurlow Fisher Lawyers and ‘Woody’ Winning was skippering his own Yandoo skiff.

Gotta Love It 7’s Seve Jarvin, Scott Babbage and Peter Harris became the 2013 champions when the took out Race 7 of the Winning Group JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff Championship on Sydney Harbour today.
Following yesterday’s wipe out in Race 6 of the championship it all came down to today’s final race in a strong North-East wind with Gotta Love It 7 and Coopers-Rag & Famish Hotel level on a net 8 points.
