Day 4 of the Mark Foy championship started after a 1 hour delay under overcast skies and building wind. A small amount of rain was a fair price to pay for 15 knots of westerly wind.

°01 Jul 2009: Grant Rollerson dominates, Greenhalgh resists
The wind has finally rose at the Mark Foy Trophy, international 18 foot skiff gathering at the Carnac Yacht Club from June 28th to July 4th. A late 10 knots breeze has swept across the bay of Quiberon to the 30 teams delight who have up to now to race in light winds. (more...)
°30 Jun 2009: Greenhalgh and Hamlin cause a breach of the Australian supremacy!
With 3 Australians on the podium of the first race (respectively Grant Rollerson on Slam, John Winning Junior on Appliances Online and Jonathan Whitty on Panasonic), sailed in a very light wind, we could expect an Australian domination all through this week of international confrontation at the Mark Foy Trophy. But a Briton and an American imposed themselves in the provisional ranking. (more...)

°28 Jun 2009: No wind for the first day
Strong heat and no wind on the packed parking of the Yacht Club de Carnac for this first day of competition. The 30 crews didn’t have the opportunity to confront one another in the bay of Quiberon and it’s really a pity! The teams brought together for this new competition which is to promote the 18 foot skiffs around the world is indeed rather exceptional. Among the helmsmen, there are no less than 4 winners of the JJ Giltinan International Championship, ran each mid-February in the bay of Sydney and considered as the equivalent of the world championship for this sport and nearly as much among the crewmen. °27 Jun 2009: Preparation and training for the Mark Foy Trophy racers
The 18 foot skiffs have arrived at the Yacht Club de Carnac to take part in the first edition of the Mark Foy Trophy which will take place from the 28th June to the 4th July. This event groups together many nations such as Great-Britain, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Australia and New-Zealand which boats arrived by container on Tuesday after a 9 weeks journey.
